Coming Full Circle

Wow..it’s been a long time since I have written an actual post on here. Does anyone even blog anymore? Lol! Guess it’s time to break good ole Tumblr back in. I honestly do not know where to start. My life has come full circle the last couple of months. God has been patiently awaiting me to fully return to him and stop giving him half of me. He kept chipping away at my heart. I am so thankful he doesn’t ever give up on us. How amazing is it that even when we are lost in sin he still wants us?!?! His unwavering love is SOOOOO amazing..breath taking love. That’s what true love is..God’s love!!! You cannot escape it, you cannot outgrow it, you cannot run from it. He accepts us exactly how we are, where we are.

I guess it started clicking for me all over again after I graduated from Freed, moved to Nashville/Murfreesboro, and started working. I randomly turned my radio to K-love (97.1) and it hasn’t left there since but maybe twice. I listened to it a few years ago and had the same experience. The songs have been speaking right to my heart, starting my day off right, giving me encouragement, allowing me to let go of bitterness, allowing me to start wanting to seek God’s face fully again. I am so thankful for such a moving and powerful radio station that can touch people’s hearts right in the midst of their storm. That’s what God does, he meets you in your storm and answers you when you call out to him.

Also, I finally got to catch up with one of my great Christian friends from Freed, Alli. We used to pray together almost every night while we were both still on campus and then when we weren’t we would pray on the phone together. We would also read the bible together periodically or share verses with each other for encouragement. I would say it has been about a year since we have prayed together until last Thursday night. She came down to visit and we spent 5 hours talking and catching up. We talked a lot about God, our faith, where we are now, and how much we missed our devotion/prayer time together. We used to always say “Friends who pray together stay together.” We also have held the verse Proverbs 17:17 close to heart. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

We started praying again last week and have made a promise to try our best to do it every day. It has been such a relief and blessing for both of us. I am so thankful God sent me true Christians to be apart of my life and be the strength I need to witness and share with. If you were to ask me how good God has been to me it would take me weeks to tell you all I have been through, overcome, been shielded from, forgiven for, and blessed with. I have let go of so many things, people, and hurts already this year. It’s been a much needed change and I am being blessed daily by it. So thankful to be in this place in my life and being in a new place with a fresh start. God says, “Ask and you shall receive.” Matt-7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
